President
John Mahama addressing students of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) announced that
the Student Loan Trust Board has increased the student loan amount from
the previous GHS 750 - 1,600 to GHS 1,000 - 2,000. He also announced
"Student Loan Plus" which is an initiative that will target students
with admission letters who are unable to pay their admission fees. This according to the president is his government commitment to make education affordable to all by providing financial support to needy students who are determined to go to school.
