2 Schools in 24 hours

President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday 25th of October, 2016 inaugurated the Takrowase Community day Senior High School in the Denkyembour district of the Eastern Region. The inauguration was part of activities planned to mark the President’s five-day tour of the region.

 The president on Wednesday, October 26th 2016 commission another school at Kwahu Fodua also in the Eastern. This was in less than 24 hours after he commissioned a community day school earlier in Takrowase.

He is expected to tour more than 24 constituencies and introduce the various National Democratic congress (NDC) parliamentary candidates to residents. The President is also expected to explain his vision to the people of the region and convince them to renew his term for the next four years.

NEW BUSES FOR STC

The State Transport Company LTD has received new buses from the government of Ghana to boost its services in the country. President John Dramani Mahama attended a brief event in Accra on Friday the 21st of October, 2016 to hand over the buses to the company.

The buses will provide the best of services in the transport sector because of modern facilities and services on board. Each bus comes with toilet facilities, snacks, drinks and water on board for each customer's comfort. Plans are also advanced to provide free wireless internet services and USB charging systems on the buses as soon as possible.

 President John Mahama addressing students of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) announced that the Student Loan Trust Board has increased the student loan amount from the previous GHS 750 - 1,600 to GHS 1,000 - 2,000.
